The Actuarial Foundation

a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting personal financial responsibility, has resources available for schools to assist with teaching personal finance essentials. Topics covered include banking fundamentals (savings and checking accounts), financing basics (loans, interest rates and mortgages) and investing (stocks, bonds, mutual funds and risk management). Teacher’s guides and student booklets are available at cost.
The National Financial Capability Challenge is a non-monetary awards program designed to increase the financial knowledge and capability of high-school aged youth across the United States. It challenges youth to take control of their financial future by learning more about personal finance and it challenges teachers and schools to incorporate the important information and topics into their curricula.
